DESCRIPTION

Game Summary
Reaver is a third person action brawler. In the heart of a cyberpunk dystopian city, a nefarious gang has overrun the Steiger Consolidated Arms Facility. This assault has one goal: To hijack the weapons factory and take over the city.  This is an unacceptable outcome, and it's your job to stop it from happening. Don the mech-suit known as Reaver, and shoot, slash, and charge your way through the waves of enemies trying to stop you.

LEVEL DESIGN

Responsibilities

In terms of creative decisions for why we designed levels, one of the largest contributors to it was a limitation of tech. The cell shader we were using for the project could only  be rendered within a limited area. Anything outside of this range would be covered by a pitch-black void.  So, I designed the levels to use module assets, allowing us to cut off right before the drop of rate of the cell shader.
  • Wrote the Level Design Documents for all three of the levels.
  • Created white boxes for all three of the levels.
  • Implemented assets produced by the artists into the levels.
  • Composed music for all the levels, along with menu and credit melodies.
